WALKING AND WILD SWIMMING SAFETY
Walking and wild swimming are not dangerous pursuits and we choose our locations with our guests’ safety in mind. However, neither activity is without its risks. We will always make decisions according to local weather conditions, water levels and flow. It is also important to take responsibility for yourself, to know your limits and to inform us of any health issues that may affect your ability to participate in the activities.
Additional Information:
Fitness - No experience of wild swimming is necessary and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and share tips. A reasonable level of fitness is required as the walk includes some steep steps and uneven clifftop terrain.
Equipment - You don’t need any specialist equipment - just a swimming costume and a towel and some aqua shoes as well as sensible shoes for walking. A suggested basic kit list will be sent out nearer the time.
Nutrition - All food provided on the day will be healthy, nutritious, plant-based food. Please let us know if you have any specific food allergies which we will aim to cater for.
Insurance - We have public liability insurance although you may wish to take out your own personal insurance too.
Snacks - This retreat is catered, however, we recommend bringing your own flask of tea, coffee or hot chocolate (and maybe a snack) for after your swim
Itinerary - The day will start at 10am. Details of the meeting point will be sent out nearer the date of the retreat.
